Junior Senators Amara, elected on October 10, 2023, as Senator of Gbarpolu County and sworn in on January 15, 2024, is a highly accomplished academic and development professional. He holds an MBA from MIT, an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School, a master’s degree from Penn State, and a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University. Before his election, Amara served as the World Bank’s Senior Advisor for Regional Integration and Partnerships in Africa, where he managed strategic relations with the African Union and regional economic commissions, oversaw a $2 billion resource portfolio, and advanced regional economic cooperation across the continent.

Junior Senator Abraham Darius Dillon, born on May 30, 1969, in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, Liberia, is a dedicated politician and civil rights activist known for his strong stance against corruption and advocacy for the underprivileged. He completed his secondary education at Wells-Hairston High School in 1989 and later earned a Certificate in Parliamentary Procedure and Legislative Drafting from the Lok Sahba Secretariat in New Delhi, India, under a 2006 Indian government scholarship. Between 2012 and 2014, he studied Legal Studies at Strayer University in the U.S. before returning to Liberia. A Christian, Senator Dillon has been married to Mrs. Sedia Hawa Dillon since 1990, and they are blessed with two children, Darius Jr. and Dariusetta.
